Zain Paper Industry, an important player in the Middle East, will implement the new tissue production park in Doha, Quatar. The second phase of the project encompasses the installation of two OVERMADE complete tissue plants for the production of high-quality facial tissue and follows the first phase in which two identical tissue lines has been delivered.

Zain Paper Industry has commissioned the complete lines to Overmade on the basis of a turn-key supply: from Virgin pulper to Approach flow system, from Hydraulic Headbox to Reel, from Winding system to Wrapping line, including all auxiliaries such as Vacuum line, Steam system, High efficiency Hood, Mist and Dust removal system. The DCS (Distributed Control System), the QCS (Quality Control System), the Sectional Electrical Drives and the Electrification of the entire tissue mill are also part of the scope of supply.

Each one of the four lines line will produce 30,000 TPD tissue, using softwood and hardwood virgin fibers, It will be equipped with a water treatment plant, fiber recovery plant and an advanced double dilution system to feed the headbox. The machines are the OVER CR C20, capable to produce the softest facial tissue, using the DYNAFLO-C headbox on the OVER FORMER CR, capable to “OVER-perform” in the fiber distribution at high consistency and to reduce the softwood needs in the paper.

Each line is conceived to work at a speed of 2,000 MPM with a reel trim of 2,750 mm and includes all the technological solutions for an energy saving tissue production such as high efficiency hood, steam system with economizer. Overmade’s scope of supply includes as well all necessary services of engineering and erection supervision services as well as assistance at the start-up of both lines.

Production changes will be minimised to achieve the highest level of efficiency and productivity, while saving in the spare parts and consumable management. The delivery of PM1 has been already completed and the delivery of PM2 is in process. Overmade’s scope of supply includes all necessary services of engineering and erection supervision services as well as assistance at the start-up of both lines.

The customer, having highly appreciated the technological features of the OVER CRC20 tissue machines, has commissioned the entire line for their PM7 (NICO project) on the base of a turn key supply: from approach flow system to the reel including all process lines and auxiliaries such as vacuum, high efficiency hood, steam system and recovery boiler system, mist and dust removal system. DCS QCS sectional drives and electrification is also part of the scope of supply. The line will produce 35.000 tpy tissue using recycled and virgin fiber.

The machine is the OVER CRC 20 capable to produce the softer tissue using the DYNAFLO C headbox (the latest development of the DYNAFLOW TWC) capable to OVER perform in fiber distribution at high consistency thanks to its micro-turbulence generator.

The line, equipped with a 4,572 mm Yankee diameter, is conceived to work at a speed of 2,000 mpm and includes all the technological solutions for an energy saving tissue production such as high efficiency hood with recovery boiler, steam system with economizer supplied by POWERMADE.

The delivery is scheduled to be in the first quarter 2023 and OVERMADE will perform the job including the supply of all necessary services of engineering, logistics and erection supervision services as well as assistance to the start-up of the line.

The aim of the project was to insert in the existing former a new headbox for the new production target at 1800 m / min, implementing the latest innovations of the most modern DYNAFLO TWC (which guarantee considerable advantages in terms of energy saving), in the small available spaces without upsetting the existing forming section.

Entirely built in stainless steel, all the elements currently inserted in the most modern OVERMADE headboxes have been inserted: from the flexible lip to the taper header passing through the expansion / mixing chamber and, of course, the micro-turbulence multitube section DYNAFLO.

The project can be replicated on any machine with double wire that needs to increase operating speeds or that requires extraordinary maintenance.

Following the investments plan, set up since the foundation of the company, and continuing to focus its actions on eco and logic solutions while widening its product portfolio, OVERMADE is proud to announce the birth of a new company in the MADE group’s family named POWERMADE.

POWERMADE will be responsible for drying and energy saving solutions for both tissue and paper mills: from high efficiency hoods and air system for tissue machines to closed hoods and air system for paper machines, from steam and condensate removal system for TMs and PMs to hall and building ventilation system and energy recovery plants, from dust and mist removal systems to the whole portfolio of “runnability systems” such as stabilizing or transfer boxes and air turn, being also able to offer consulting services, such as plant survey and upgrading solutions.

The new-born entity is led by Mr Adriano Lazzini and Mr Giuliano Vannucci and is supported by experts who have spent their careers working on the development and implementation of energy systems for the pulp & paper industry. Its office is located in the beautiful city of Lucca in Tuscany, which is a strategic center of the paper production in Italy.

The cofounders, who have already worked with the mother-company team in the past, decided to undertake this new adventure because, as they said: “Our ideas to handle as entrepreneurs the business perfectly match with the philosophy of the OVERMADE group. The solid know-how in the energy and aerothermic systems already consolidated in OVERMADE can only be increased by our team. The delivery is scheduled to be in the summer 2021 and OverMade will perform the job including the supply of all necessary services of engineering, logistics and erection services as well as assistance at the start-up of the line, which will be entirely under the supervision of our qualified personnel on site, who will be in charge of the coordination and control during all the erection and the commissioning phases up to the start-up and training for the client’s employees.

For many years OverMade has been serving the market with this machine size, which has shown in the years to be OverMade’s feather in the cap, from Europe to South America, from Middle East to East Europe and Far East. TWENTY is the magic number of this line: 20 years from the start-up of the first OVER CR C20 tissue line (the grandfather of one of the most successful OVER tissue lines); in 2020 OverMade received this order in a market area where the OVER tissue machines are a reference point for the market. After the most recent successes in South America, North America and Europe this contract represents in fact an exciting coming back in the Middle East.
