SCA was awarded a Gold Medal in the EcoVadis Sustainability Rating 2025, further strengthening its position among the world’s leading companies in sustainability performance. At the same time, SCA increased its overall score from 78 to 79, placing the group within the top five percent globally.
EcoVadis is one of the world’s leading independent providers of sustainability assessments, evaluating companies across four main areas: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Each area is assessed on the basis of a wide range of criteria, including policies, procedures, certifications and reporting practices. The results are aggregated into an overall score ranging from 0 to 100, as well as a medal reflecting relative performance compared with peers.
With a score of 79 in 2025, SCA ranked higher than more than 95 percent of all companies included in the EcoVadis global benchmark, earning the Gold Medal distinction.
“Our ambition is to be at the forefront of combining profitable and efficient forestry with responsibility, care and climate benefits. Strengthening our score further from an already high level is a clear confirmation that our long-term, systematic sustainability work is delivering results,” said Per Funkquist, Head of Sustainability at SCA.
The positive EcoVadis assessment was further reinforced by SCA’s recent inclusion on the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) prestigious A List for 2025, the highest possible rating, in both the Climate and Forests categories.
“That two leading and independent global assessors give SCA such strong ratings demonstrates that our approach and our active, sustainable forestry perform very well in an international comparison. It is a strong recognition of both our operations and the Swedish forestry model,” Funkquist added.
