At the beginning of 2025, Kairos completed the installation of a high-speed line for the production of interfolded paper towels, custom-designed for a leading international company.
After several months of full operation, the system is meeting expectations: the combination of advanced technology and a personalized approach have enabled the customer to increase quality, output and production continuity.
This achievement is not just the supply of equipment but clear evidence of Kairos’ ability to respond to the specific needs of global players with tailor-made technological solutions.
The young company from Lucca is led by a team with over 25 years of experience in the interfold sector, bringing with it know-how that combines technical expertise, attentive listening and a pragmatic vision applied to the concrete needs of customers.

“We particularly appreciated Kairos’s personalized approach throughout every phase of the project: from the careful design tailored to our production requirements to the technical support after the line’s launch,” says the Mill Manager of the customer company. “Their ability to listen carefully and adapt quickly to emerging challenges proved to be a truly valuable asset.”

For the customer, the new line represents an investment that guarantees performance capable of sustaining growth plans, going beyond the simple replacement of a machine: “This investment allows us to strengthen our market position, improving quality and increasing volumes.
The line opens new opportunities for efficiency and technological innovation, perfectly aligned with our development plans.”

The benefits are already clear: “We have seen consistently high productivity, steady product quality and excellent production continuity thanks to modern automated systems. The flexibility of the line, which can easily adapt to different formats and types of paper towels, represents an important competitive advantage.”
And the added value? “Kairos has provided us with a comprehensive solution that combines high technology with a tailor-made approach, ensuring greater efficiency and improved product quality.”

From a technical point of view, the line was designed with maximum attention to customization. “We developed a system capable of producing single-ply, two – and three-ply glued products in different paper heights,” explains Maurizio Giannoni, General Manager of Kairos. “Moreover, the system is already prepared for the introduction of new products, offering the customer a flexible platform projected toward the future.”

The project was built on three key pillars: experience, flexibility and availability. “We have been operating in the interfold sector for over 25 years, and this background allows us to deliver tailor-made solutions for every need. Flexibility has characterized Kairos since its foundation, because every customer has specific requirements. Finally, availability: being close to the customer before, during and after delivery of the line is an essential part of our way of working.”

In addition to design and construction, Kairos has developed an integrated approach to after-sales service: rapid interventions, spare parts supply, but also revamping and reverse engineering of existing lines, which extend the machines’ lifecycle and keep them at maximum efficiency.
A service that consolidates long-term partnerships and makes Kairos a true partner, not just a supplier. Looking ahead, innovation remains at the heart of the company’s activity.
“We have developed some innovative solutions, currently patent pending, that address the need to reduce maintenance costs and machine downtime, both planned and unplanned,” Giannoni underlines. “These technologies will be integrated into new lines and will also be offered as revamping solutions for existing plants.”

This project is not only a technical and commercial success but also a clear example of how collaboration between supplier and customer can generate real value. The combination of attentive listening, consolidated experience and technological innovation demonstrates how Kairos can transform complex challenges into concrete solutions that support the growth of its partners.

With this achievement, the company confirms its ability to engage with international customers and position itself as a reliable partner in a sector that is increasingly competitive and oriented towards efficiency, quality and sustainability.
