Regular, planned servicing not only provides peace of mind but also supports cost management and improves overall machine efficiency. RunCare brings together all Runtech service offerings under one unified name, offering a range of service models from spare parts and basic maintenance to predictive and proactive care.
Tailored service for every need
The RunCare Services portfolio is divided into four categories to meet varying maintenance needs: RunCare Parts, RunCare Standard, RunCare Extended and RunCare Agreement.
“Our goal is to make life easier for our customers,” says Lari Lampila, Sales and Aftermarket Manager at Runtech Systems. “With ready-made maintenance plans for EP Turbo Blowers, we reduce the workload for maintenance and purchasing teams. A service agreement also strengthens cooperation between us and the customer.”

Why regular maintenance matters
Properly timed maintenance ensures optimal vacuum system performance and helps avoid unexpected shutdowns. Auxiliary equipment servicing is equally important. Runtech’s trained service team performs all necessary operations on-site, including bearing and motor replacement, cleaning, trial runs and vibration analysis.
Runtech also provides high-quality, original spare parts – inspected and guaranteed to deliver maximum performance.
“We have a skilled team of service engineers working globally,” Lampila adds. “With support from our parent company, Ingersoll Rand, we’re expanding our expert network in Asia and South America to ensure faster access to our services.”
RunEco EP Turbo Blowers are designed for economical operation, but regular maintenance is essential to ensure long-term reliability. Harsh operating conditions, especially in fully closed processes, can lead to dirt accumulation.
Cleanliness is critical – not just for the vacuum system, but for the entire papermaking process.
RunCare Standard includes basic maintenance such as bearing unit exchange and impeller washing, performed by a Runtech specialist in a single day. Each visit includes a detailed report and recommendations to keep the system in top condition. Efficiency is one of the most important economic factors in mill operation. Without regular maintenance, system performance declines and operating costs rise. RunCare Extended offers a comprehensive inspection and maintenance package, covering all key components and providing insight into future service needs.

RunCare agreement. Long-term partnership
The RunCare Agreement is the most complete service model, offering extended warranty and long-term support. Tailored to each customer’s needs, it minimizes risk and effort by aligning maintenance with the mill’s production schedule.
“The agreement includes extended service, where our team inspects the motor, impeller and auxiliary equipment,” Lampila explains. “This helps customers plan budgets more accurately if capital spare parts need replacement.”
With optimization support and detailed reporting, customers can be confident their vacuum system is running at optimal settings. “About 30% of our customers already have service agreements, and interest is growing with the launch of RunCare,” Lampila notes.
Vacuum system rebuilds and audits
When a vacuum pump or blower reaches the end of its lifecycle, options include replacement, upgrade, or complete rebuild, especially when production changes or energy efficiency improvements are needed. Routine service and system audits are essential for identifying performance issues and preventing failures. Audits also reveal opportunities to improve energy efficiency and optimize production. “Our strength lies in understanding the papermaking process,” Lampila concludes. “We benchmark vacuum systems, dewatering equipment, suction elements and felts. If you’re unsure where to start with energy savings or CO2 reduction, begin with an audit: everything starts from there.”
