DECO2 by Giotto Technologies. New embossing technique for top quality products

Giotto Technologies has been driven by a clear mission from its foundation: to introduce breakthrough innovations capable of enhancing the entire tissue converting process.

Flexibility, precision and sustainability are not abstract values, but concrete engineering targets applied to every phase of production, with one ultimate goal: elevating the quality and distinctiveness of the finished product.

The Italians technicians and engineers of GIOTTO TECHNOLOGIES bring decades of hands-on experience in tissue converting. Their deep understanding of market dynamics and customer needs has shaped solutions that respond to today’s most pressing demands: greater production flexibility, absolute precision, reduced energy consumption and the ability to keep pace with increasingly high-quality standards and continuous product innovation requirements.

At the heart of this latest innovation stands Tripler, the three-roll embosser engineered to redefine production versatility. Unlike conventional embossing systems, Tripler can operate with three rolls working simultaneously, enabling up to 8 different embossing combinations.

TRIPLER – Up to 3 engraved steel rolls working simultaneously. Multiple embossing type configurations: 8 different lamination solutions.

This unprecedented flexibility allows converters to rapidly adapt to changing market requirements without compromising neither efficiency nor precision.

The “Quickshift” automatic rolls change system is an important automation upgrade in terms of operational safety, speed and setting precision. All roll change settings can be stored and recalled via the HMI panel, ensuring fast, repeatable and highly accurate transitions.

Operators remain safe outside the machine during the setup process, demonstrating how advanced robotics can seamlessly integrate with robust mechanical engineering, including a control panel specifically dedicated to roll change operations.

Moreover, in just 10 minutes, production can switch from a point-to-point embossing configuration to DESL or DECO and back again, minimizing downtime and maximizing responsiveness.

From the unique potential of Tripler, Giotto Technologies presents DECO2, an embossing concept designed to create truly innovative tissue rolls.

Engineered specifically for multi-ply products, DECO2 introduces a groundbreaking structure with two different double-height point-to-point decorative embossing patterns on the outer and an inner ply with a separately embossing.

This innovative combination allows the production of tissue rolls characterized by two distinct decorative designs – one on the external ply and another on the internal ply on the same embossing unit.

From a visual standpoint, DECO2 creates an immediate impact on the shelf. The roll appearance changes depending on how it is positioned, offering two different decorative styles in one product.

Designs can be realized either with colored glue for enhanced visual appeal or in a classic white version, allowing brands to tailor the final look according to their positioning strategy.

Beyond aesthetics, DECO2 delivers tangible performance benefits. The combination of double-height point-to-point embossing with a micro-embossed middle ply ensures an enhanced softness to the touch, superior consistency and strength and most of all an elevated perception of comfort.

The result is a product that balances visual elegance with mechanical resistance and consumer comfort.

Born from the innovative DNA of Giotto Technologies, DECO2 represents more than a new embossing pattern: it is a strategic tool for market differentiation. For brand owners, it opens new possibilities to stand out with premium, visually distinctive products. For converters, it strengthens dialogue with large-scale retailers by enabling the development of private label lines featuring truly differentiating characteristics.

From engineering excellence to shelf differentiation, DECO2 reshapes competitive advantage in tissue embossing.
