Relocating and reusing machinery represents an excellent example of sustainable resource use and the circular economy in action.
PROMT has extensive experience in plant design using both new and used machinery. The company handles the dismantling and upgrading of existing industries and designs new ones. It also takes end-to-end responsibility for the entire process – from sourcing suitable equipment, whether new or reused, through to full commissioning.
Backed by extensive market knowledge and decades-long industry relationships, PROMT is an approved and trusted partner. Whether the objective is to invest in plant upgrades or to transform assets, PROMT provides full support.

The company can also assist in finding a wide range of spare parts for machinery. It has deep knowledge of where to locate used parts for machinery and equipment, both from companies that approach PROMT to sell machines or components and through continuous market monitoring.
A single call to PROMT can quickly resolve common emergencies and breakdowns. A recent major project involved relocating a paper machine from Finland to Barem Ambalaj in Türkiye.
In this case, PROMT not only acted as a broker but also managed the entire process, from disassembly in Finland to reassembly and commissioning support in Türkiye.
General Manager Mr. Metin Kaya from Barem Ambalaj gave PROMT this glowing testimonial following the completion of the Barem PM1 project: “On behalf of Barem Ambalaj, I would like to extend our sincere appreciation for your valuable contribution throughout this project. It has been a pleasure working with you and the entire PROMT team. Your professionalism, technical expertise and constructive cooperation have played an important role in the progress we have achieved together.
We are confident that the strong partnership established between Barem, PROMT and all subcontractors will ensure the long-term success of the machine and the project.
Please convey our thanks to the PROMT team for their dedication and support during the entire process. We wish you continued success in your future projects and look forward to future opportunities for collaboration.”
As always, the most important feedback is the client’s view of PROMT once the project has been completed. This demonstrates the company’s commitment to combining cutting-edge technical expertise with close collaboration with its customers.

The case above involved the relocation of a paper machine, but PROMT can also relocate entire factories or specific lines.
These projects often include upgrading and tailoring the existing process plant at its new location. Viewed from multiple perspectives, relocation and reconstruction are often the optimal choice, as they improve cost-efficiency and resource use and result in a quicker production start-up.
When requested, PROMT can assume end-to-end responsibility. In practice, this involves sourcing machinery or equipment, which may include feasibility studies and assessments. Once the seller and buyer have reached an agreement, the company handles dismantling, labelling, packing and transport, along with all required documentation.
At the office, the team prepares new installation drawings, carries out process optimisation, provides mechanical design and manages purchasing.
At the new site, PROMT can take part in project management and participate in commissioning.
