GENIUM line is dedicated to the converting of tissue rolls providing tissue paper properties as extreme softness, high web thickness and optimum winding profile. “The GENIUM line designed for Foscart is equipped with the Tripler embosser, the newest embossing solution with three engraved steel rolls working simultaneously. We were looking to enhance the quality of 3 ply rolls to approach the market with improved quality. This embosser turned out to be a strategic choice: it allows us to mix and match traditional multi-ply embossing configurations to attain higher diameter and higher bulk without increasing the energy consumption of the embossing process but rather reducing it. Bulk, quality and savings at the same time, all combined!” – says Giotto Technologies.
The Tripler embosser enables up to 8 types of embossing configurations with the same machine; it can be automatically and tool-free set by HMI to launch on the market unique tissue rolls with a combination of different embossing types never seen before. “Foscart production schedule needs to be changed easily and quickly. The whole GENIUM line can be set via HMI panel. Operators receive the “production recipe” from the plant system and the complete line will find the best setting automatically. This is a real advantage, as the quality of the final product is always constant; moreover, operators feel more confident as the line is immediately in the best condition to run. It feels like moving to a new level of up-to-date and industrial organization” – keeps saying Scalco. The GENIUM line stands out also for the Genium rewinder, a cutting-edge machinery with patented exclusive technologies, such as:
- Pick-up glue application system on fly (constant glue quality and no dry cores to remove).
- Cradles adjustment by HMI for a quick and easy core diameter change to produce on the same line consumer and professional rolls: from 20 to 80 mm.
- 4 rolls winding principle with double rider rolls. During the winding process the log is always controlled by at least three rolls: the first rider roll can pick up the new log basically at its formation so that the transfer is very smooth.
