In the global tissue market, which is moving increasingly towards high-level automation to control and optimize production, Plusline’s innovative solutions have been embraced from the outset and rewarded with numerous orders and installations: no less than 16 installations within 18 months, across three continents – the Americas, Europe and Africa. Out of these 16 installations, almost half comprise the top-of-the-range Together solution, the revolutionary system which integrates, for the first time, log trimming, log cutting and packaging of finished rolls, optimizing the line’s layout and footprint and eliminating conveyors and choke belts. The result is an unprecedented level of process continuity and a substantial increase in productivity. With Together, tissue producers can save up to 300 square meters per line and fit more lines into the same plant. Thanks to the high level of automation, the reduction in the number components and the simplification of the production process, Together also improves the management and maintenance of the line, reduces energy consumption and the number of operators required.
Higher efficiency, optimum functionality and operational simplicity

“The collaboration with Futura’s technical team has allowed us to deliver not only complete lines, which manage the entire production process in a single, complete and integrated solution, from the parent reel to the finished shelf-ready pack, but also stand-alone solutions, installed downstream of existing rewinders – said Matteo Giardini, Plusline Business Development Director. This stand-alone option is very important because it clearly demonstrates that the solutions we have developed offer advantages both for those setting up new plants or commissioning new lines, as well as those who want to make existing plants more efficient”.
Overpack flexible high-speed bundlers have also been given an excellent reception by the market. Overpack completes the production process and can be installed downstream either of Together or Pluspack, the latter being high-speed fully automatic packaging machines for toilet paper and kitchen towel – the third flagship product from Plusline.
Plusline introduces a new era in packaging
“Until now, the main parameters for evaluating the quality of a packaging machine were the speed of format change and, equally important, its simplicity and safety – continued Giardini. But at Plusline our mindset is to challenge the status quo, an approach we have in common with Futura, which always pushes us to go further and exceed our limits. A few days ago I asked one of our Spanish customers how it was going with the format change on Pluspack. Do you know what he said? That the changeover process on their wrapper no longer exists in any real sense”. Plusline is already hitting the targets it set for itself just two years ago. Now it needs to go in search of new limits to overcome.
